The
Iowa Racing and Gaming Commission is responsible for
pari-mutuel wagering and riverboat gambling.
The Iowa Department of Inspections and Appeals
is the agency involved with the Indian gaming in the state. The
Department also is responsible for the
regulation of social and charitable gaming like bingo, raffles and games of skill or chance.
The Gaming Enforcement Bureau
is responsible for criminal investigation at all licensed gambling operations in Iowa.
The Iowa Lottery operates separately.
